Multi – Skilled Operator (Tygerberg Quarry) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualification/Experience:

• Minimum Grade 10, Grade 12 and/or relevant experience advantageous
• Must be literate and functionally numerate
• Valid unendorsed RSA driver’s license
• 3 – 5 years in a similar environment
• Basic mechanical knowledge and background advantageous
• Must have valid operator certificates for ALL the following machines: Articulated Dumper Truck; Front end Loader and Excavator
• Able to work in a team and under pressure
• Able to work extended hours and /or shifts
• Be willing and able to operate different machines as required during a shift

Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):

• Perform daily pre- start checks
• Operate Articulated Dumper Truck, Front end Loader and Excavator
• Report on general elementary mechanical problems
• Operate all equipment with adherence to the relevant Health and Safety advisories and procedures
• Communicate effectively within the team and with Site Management
• Assist with housekeeping on site as required
