Millwright - Rustenburg at Rainbow Chicken

Job Advert Summary    

• Rainbow Chicken based in Rustenburg is looking for a qualified Millwright to join their busy Engineering team at the Processing plant. Experience with Allen-Bradley switchgear, Mitsubishi VSD, PLC Programming, Modicon Circuitry, Electronic Circuitry and Instrumentation could secure. Experience in poultry industry and knowledge of poultry processing equipment would be an advantage.

Minimum Requirements    

• Recognised Millwright trade test
• Wireman’s license added advantage
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience (post qualification).
• Experience in poultry industry and knowledge of poultry processing equipment would be an advantage
• PLC and HT experience would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and co-ordinate projects.
• Ability to take charge on major mechanical / electrical breakdowns with good communication and people

skills

• Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
• Duties and Responsibilities    
• Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Service and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Preventative maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct projects
• Conduct safety inspection.
• Research and development – upgrade equipment for improved performance at reduction of maintenance cost.
• PMS (Planned Maintenance Systems).
• Housekeeping
• Adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Adherence to all ISO/HACCP standards and procedures
• Inspections & planned work as per Job Cards
• Ability to plan work in terms of downtime prevention is essential
• Sourcing of spares costing for planned work
• Shift work, Overtime, call-outs and standby required
