Qualifications

• Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering Diploma / Degree

Experience

• 5 years in various mineral industries 
• Detailed understanding of extractive metallurgy process, including flotation and hydrometallurgy. 
• Knowledge of metallurgical processes.
• Ability to conduct lab tests and plant trials on the above processes

Duties

• Data Collection and Analysis - Collate and analyse data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently.
• Needs Assessment - Investigate questions relating to existing programs, processes and procedures.
• Recommendations - Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents
• Solutions Analysis - Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures and precedents.
• Improvement / Innovation - Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
• Internal Communications - Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice.
• Project Management - Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities.
• Market Development - Compile information on the market in order to make strategic decisions.
• Test Work and benefit quantification - Conduct test work to evaluate the potential benefit new solutions or products.
• Relationship development – Develop relationships with customers and suppliers
• Identify opportunities
