Budget Compliance

• Comply with work rules, standards and methods. Take care to minimise waste.

Editing

• Formatting wrappers and codecs.
• Editing and dubbing material as required by HOD.
• Transcoding material as requested.
• Ensuring media callbacks are done when requested.
• Ensuring all instructions from Supervisor are carried out effectively.
• Assisting in movement of media from and to servers when required.
• Assisting with Media management on servers when required.

Quality Assurance

• Analysing audio and video quality of programs in real time.
• Ensuring the correct material is timeously ingested and uploaded to various outside broadcasters and conforms to broadcast standards.
• Ensuring material is correctly transcoded as per broadcast specifications.
• Uploading and downloading of various material as requested or instructed.
• Ensuring that all timings and other relevant info is correct on forms filled in (XML).
• Editing and dubbing material as required by Supervisor.
• Ensuring all media is delivered timeously

Reporting

• Reporting any technical problems, including problems with transfer / Ingest material or Foreign Masters to the Supervisor.
• Preparing detailed Non TX reports if needed

Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate - Essential
• A National Diploma within Editing - Recommended
• A minimum of 1 years experience within a similar role
