Job Description:

• The role is responsible for the continuous supply of materials and maintaining stock levels to support production
• Generate material plans and place orders for material sourced from internal & external suppliers
• Maintain planning parameters in JDE to support an efficient MRP system.
• Liaise with internal suppliers and external suppliers
• Responsible for resolving supply issues and managing stock levels as per supply plan.
• Actively participate and promote continuous improvement within the Supply Chain department.
• Ensure that work is done according to the Standards, procedures and Code of Practices.
• Tactical material planning and purchase order placement.
• Monitor track and ensure uninterrupted product supply with balanced stock levels
• Liaise with suppliers, procurement, supply planning, product development and operations.
• Report supplier issues when they occur
• Maintain Supply Chain Master Data and MRP Parameters.
• Manage new item creation through the product data management system.

Qualifications:

• 3- 5 years’ experience in planning of materials within a manufacturing environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A post matric qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Supply Chain Management or APICS CPIM.
• Sound MRP and Supply Chain processes knowledge,
• Proficient in MS Office and JDE system.
• Proficiency in MS Office software and relevant software for data acquisition, treatment and processing
