Material Planning and MRP Controller at Alstom

Purpose of the Job:

• Supply the project with materials and parts necessary to complete the maintenance of trains and projects and help achieve the customers expected OTIF
• Utilise the SAP GSI system relating to Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)/Material Master/Transfer of Materials & purchases pre-sourced Materials.  Responsible for the overall use of the SAP GSI system within the supply chain ensuring accuracy of the system at all times
• Support the businesses by ensuring the correct stocks are maintained at each location. Organise the data and manages the flows of goods at optimum cost and with attention to risk control and company performance improvement

Experience

• B-Tech Degree in Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering /Logistics Management
• Previous experience working in a maintenance environment
• Working knowledge of Material requirement planning and inventory control system.
• Knowledge of store/warehouse management
• Supply Chain expertise, working knowledge of ERP systems including SAP with special regards to modules used for management of the Supply Chain
• ERP: SAP
• MS Office literate: ( SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Achievement of TSSSA Project schedule
• Supplier/Customer OTIF
• Inventory in value and months of sales
• Material planning efficiency (Missing parts measurement)
• Material coverage

Responsibilities:

• Execute TSSSA Material planning and Inventory strategies in coordination with Industrialization and Operations
• Define parts typology (based on ABC, variability, business type...etc) for defining planning tactics and to support Line replenishment
• Define and set-up MRP parameters to implement material planning strategies
• Participate in the Engineering Change committee – guarantee proper plan of material changes
• Analyze Inventory content for correcting planning strategies
• Support finance for inventory depreciation calculation
• Implement and manage improvement plan in regard of Inventory reduction
• Measure performance in material planning (material availability) and inventories
