    Manager: SBS

    Job Purpose

    • To acquire and generate new primary clients into the SBS segment specifically from the non-represented geographies we are seeking to enter. Once acquired, the growing portfolio needs to be engaged through a contact management program with the objective of deepening their relationship with Nedbank resulting in further cross-selling and revenue growth.
    • Ultimately the purpose of the role is to build a financially viable small business portfolio by delivering banking solutions through our relationship management approach, the consequence for Nedbank is growth in market share.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Acquire new primary accounts for the small business segment of Nedbank.
    • Source appropriate leads and make use of sales data lead capability.
    • Execute on a contact management plan engage clients pro-actively, ensuring we are catering for their banking needs.
    • Maximise profitability and the entrenchment of the portfolio by matching as many products as meets the needs of the portfolio.
    • Ensure that client is fully banked by cross selling and servicing to meet all identified client needs.
    • Source appropriate leads by building relationships, using networks, collaborating with other divisions, obtaining referrals, and conducting appropriate marketing activities to target potential customers.
    • Provide accurate advice to meet client needs by maintaining knowledge, upskilling, reading widely, attending courses and being knowledgeable.
    • Provide feedback on progress, respond swiftly and professionally to requests with appropriate information/advice at all times, manage expectations with respect to turnaround times.
    • Ensure that clients can use products and services by providing/organizing training and demonstrations to clients.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of risk parameters by managing client relationships according to credit principles
    • Manage resources (time, processes and support teams) to optimize value against client expectations.
    • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters, websites and attending sessions.
    • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies, and systems.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 2-3 years' Relationship management experience in a Banking environment

    Requirements

    • Degree in Business or Finance (e.g. BSc Economics, B Comm, Certified Associate of the Institute of Bankers) is preferred
    • NQF Level 5 or Higher in a Financial or Business related field essential
    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport is essential
