    Major Module Specialist Buyer - Kempton Park

    Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for a Major Module Specialist Buyer at our head
    office in Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Contract & Procurement Manager.
    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support major module shop visits by devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies;
    • Support reserve claims;
    • Work within the constraints of the various leases;
    • Save/reduce shop visit costs;
    • Monitor price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing;
    • Together with the asset management team scrutinize through the breakdown report of the Major modules to get competitive quotes for replacement parts on Major Modules;
    • Together with Internal Customers, ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company;
    • Assist to manage Major Module turn times;
    • Develop relationships with specialist major module parts vendors;
    • Understand BTB traceability;
    • Understand SB/AD impacts;
    • Understand LLP limitations;
    • Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications;
    • Arranges and monitors the shipping of all Major Modules from Safair to the Vendor and back;
    • Ensuring Shipping is billed to the correct Consignee;
    • Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company;
    • Ensure that all Delivery timelines are met and to ensure an >98% OTIF;
    • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of all procurement activities;
    • Constantly work to improve processes;
    • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided;
    • Together with Asset management, Finance and Quality Assurance do supplier evaluation and selection;
    • Improve Procurement Agility;
    • Assist Asset management team to compile all costs for each Major Module Project to ensure the right amount are recovered from the right Lessor.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric;
    • Diploma in procurement or business administration.
    • 5+ years of Procurement management experience;
    • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls;
    • SAM AMO system (Optional);
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
