Maintenance Foreman at Omnia (Pty) LTD

Overview    
Core Deliverables:

• Planning and scheduling daily and weekly maintenance activities
• Supervise Maintenance Artisans
• Stepladder inspection
• Fire suppression register
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems
• Lifting equipment appointments
• Monthly reporting
• Ensuring compliance to all legal safety procedures and processes as prescribed to minimize risks

Qualifications    

• Grade 12
• Artisan (Trade Tested)
• 2 Years demonstrated plant related Mechanical  or Electrical experience

Experience    

• 5 Years demonstrated experience as a  Maintenance Foreman
• 3 Years demonstrated maintenance experience in a Production  or explosive’s environment

Duties    
Job Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps (Progressive cavity, gear pumps) would be an advantage
• Electrical ability
• Trouble shooting (Fault finding)
• Extensive knowledge in the maintenance of VFD’s general plant switchgear, process machinery including pumps, compressors and boilers
• Knowledge of PLC’s and field instrumentation
• Knowledge of the SANS 10142 electrical regulations
• Proficiency in MS office
• Knowledge of ERP systems
