Maintenance Assistant Gr 2 Analyser at Sasol

Purpose of Job

• To support with the maintenance of mechanical / electro-mechanical / electro-mechanical systems and equipment. To operate mechanical / electro-mechanical devices and systems, and accurately and efficiently collect field data to ensure optimum productivity.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

• Transporting of spares / tools from workshop to site. Valves, bolts, psv’s etc.
• Transporting of spares from central corridor workshops to area workshops and site.
• Daily cleaning of plant (transporting of scrap bins to workshop, emptying thereof and transporting empty bins back to site)
• During stripping of GO/BD gasifiers, the work scope includes removal/ transportation of Coal feeder /Coal lock/ Ash lock / Expansion vessels / wash coolers, removal/ replacing of wash cooler sumps.
• Offloading of spares delivered e.g. bolts, pipes, Bosman skirts, wash coolers, jacket plates etc.
• Transporting / collecting of spares from workshops /western side

Formal Education

• National Senior Certificate or N3

Min Experience

• Experience: 0 - 2+ relevant years
