    Librarian: Digital Literaries - (1846)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Creating digital literacy tutorials that are student-centred and emphasise active learning
    • Developing and present webinars/practical training on digital literacy related topics to staff and students
    • Develop digital literacy resources
    • Actively contribute to the design of the digital literacies programme that aligns with the Library’s Information literacy programme and the UWC Graduate Attributes. 
    • Promote the digital literacies programme to secure partnerships. partnering with faculty to develop authentic training opportunities for students. Collaborate with other campus partners 
    • Devise an annual programme of lunchtime sessions that provide opportunities for students to learn and practice new skills and understandings from their peers.

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Requirements (Qualification and Experience)

    • A B.Bibl Degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent professional qualification related to this role 
    • Three years’ work experience in an academic/research/educational environment
    • Expertise in the use of new technologies in the virtual space
    • Demonstrated experience in instructional design
    • Sound understanding and skill in learning management platforms and related educational technologies

    • Project Management
    • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment
    • Strong service orientation and effective problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Creative flair 
    • Current Liasa membership
