Lecturer: Department of Architecture - (1073) at University of the Free State

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach the following at undergraduate or postgraduate level: Construction and Detail Design, together with a lecture-based module/s such as Professional Practice, Computer Aided Design, Computer Rendering and/or History/Theory of Architecture.
• Co-ordinate Professional Practise related modules. 
• Conduct Research.
• Mentor students toward design dissertation.

Inherent Job Requirements:

• M. Arch (professional) degree on NQF Level 9 (contract position until registered for a PhD on NQF Level 10 in Architecture).
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an architect.
• Professional design and construction portfolio.

Recommendations:

• Research interest in one or more of the following areas: architectural design, construction, professional practice, architectural history/theory.
• Registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (or similar).
