    Lecturer (AC.08)

    Job: IRC82151

    Key responsibilities include the following:                 

    • Teaching and coordinating courses in health law for bioethics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
    • Supervision of postgraduate students
    • Conducting research and publishing
    • Participating fully in the activities of the Centre and the School, including taking on administrative duties and participating in community outreach programme

     
    The incumbent will report to the Head of the Centre in all matters relating to duties in and administration of the Centre.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Undergraduate degree in South African law
    • An appropriate masters degree
    • Some academic background in health/medical law
    • Teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
    • Research experience with an appropriate publication record in health/medical law or bioethics

    Preferences:

    • An appropriate PhD or equivalent
    • A background in bioethics
