Brief Description        

• The school is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced mining engineer for a Lecturer position in Mining Engineering.

Requirement:

• Applicants must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in mining engineering.

Advantages considered include:

• A Doctoral degree in mining engineering; Experience in different mining methods or environmental management;
• Registration as a candidate engineer or professional engineer or eligibility for professional registration;
• Teaching experience at university level; Research experience evidenced by an NRF rating, supervision and/or co-supervision of postgraduate research students, peer-reviewed publications, local and/or international collaborations;
• Evidence of any academic citizenship and service.

Duties:

• Duties will include undertaking personal research; undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing; supervision and/or co-supervision of postgraduate research students; participation in administrative activities of the school.
