    Lead: Strategic Insights - ExeMan (Pretoria)

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Develop and continually improve the strategic insights capability in the SMO.
    • Provide leadership, strategic direction and oversight of the day-to-day management of operations within the SMO’s strategic insights function.
    • Develop and maintain the SMO governance framework (e.g. principles, standards, processes and practices) to support and guide the functional areas to deliver the SMO value proposition.
    • Use the SMO governance framework to guide the client-facing functions with respect to the development of fit-for-purpose strategy management services.
    • Use the SMO governance framework as well as project and change management practices to guide the client-facing functions in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of strategy management services.
    • Define, develop and manage the implementation of the knowledge management principles, strategy and processes.
    • Assess and monitor the effectiveness of SMO processes and services against identified measurements and metrics.
    • Oversee the design, implementation and ongoing running of the strategy training programme for the SARB.
    • Oversee the design, implementation and ongoing running of the advanced analytics and technology function of the SMO.
    • Define and ensure that adequate governance and controls are in place for the SMO processes in line with the internal audit programme, as well as drive the resolution of audit findings.
    • Manage strategic relations with significant stakeholders (client-facing leads and supporting departments such as Human Resources, Risk Management and Compliance, and Internal Audit).
    • Manage the performance and development of direct reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

    • a minimum of an Honours degree (NQF level 8) in Strategy Management or an equivalent qualification; and
    • a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in strategy management, with at least five of these in general management.
