• The successful candidate will collaborate with our web development and graphic design teams, monitor website traffic, troubleshoot website problems when they arise, and update websites as necessary.
• The right person will have a background in developing and maintaining web applications and be self-motivated and passionate about problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting with the creation of websites and updating existing web applications for our corporate intranet and group websites
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Creating and modifying content for our corporate communication channels
• Supporting internal and external clients on existing web applications
• Production support through troubleshooting, debugging, and data validation
• Creating and maintaining Microsoft Forms, SharePoint pages and Power Platform apps
• Ad-hoc tasks requested by direct management

Skills required

• Good working knowledge of HTML & CSS
• Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Acrobat
• JavaScript
• Managing and maintaining a CMS (Joomla)
• Great communication skills

Qualifications and Experience required

• Grade 12 or NQF 4
• Additional certification in web development
• Proven working experience in web development
• A solid understanding of how web applications work and best development practices

Experience that would be advantageous

• Building cross-platform web applications
• Google Analytics
• Familiarity with web services, PHP, and additional frontend technologies such as Angular
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms (Power Automate & Power Apps)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Forms & SharePoint (online)
• Knowledge of relational database systems
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization
