Job Description

Assist Artisan with daily maintenance and other duties.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Relevant technical experience.
• Minimum 1-2 experience in a similar role
• Valid driver's license
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience in both fields is essential
• Troubleshooting is essential
• Valid trade certificate will be advantageous
• Applicable knowledge and skill
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Willing to travel between facilities (Upington, Douglas and Magogong)
• Clear Criminal Record
• Physically fit

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical duties according to order and under supervision including the use of electrical hand equipment (grinder, drill, test meters)
• Cleaning of cables and electrical equipment during daily maintenance
• Offer a high quality of work in a neat manner
• Willing to undergo training towards qualification
• Act preventively with inspections (including vehicles), reporting of defects and necessary repairs to immediate Supervisor
• Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety, Food Safety and Quality Management and Legislation under supervision of the Senior Technician
• Assist with co-ordination of pecan season activities
• General maintenance
• Assist with inspections and repair work on equipment and machinery
• Assist with new electrical installations as well as installation of new machines
• Assist in all areas where support is required;
• Ensure excellent service delivery
• Be a GWK ambassador and a good team player.
