Duties/Pligte

• Receiving, labelling and analysing samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.);
• Designing and executing laboratory testing according to standard procedures, making observations and interpreting findings;
• Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods;
• Organising and storing all chemical substances, fluids and compressed gasses according to safety instructions;
• Recording all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility;
• Maintaining equipment and assisting with ordering laboratory supplies;
• Ensuring that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

• National Technical / National Senior certificate;
• Basic computer literacy;
• Two years' experience in a multi-user laboratory environment;
• Willingness and availability to work after hours.
