Junior Project Manager - Head Office at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

• Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate, Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 0 - 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in retail shopfitting and installations with MS Project experience

Advantageous:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Architecture

Job Specification…

Project Management:

• Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet projects deadlines.
• Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal project managers and shopfitting teams ensure effective communication and project execution.
• Manage projects plans, schedule, and budgets under the guidance of the project manager.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and report on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with SANS 0400, South African Pharmacy Good Practices, OHS and industry standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project management processes.

Stakeholder Liaison:

• Communicate project status, progress, and potential roadblocks to team members and stakeholders.
• Assist in managing and mentoring a team of project coordinators, site supervisors, and shopfitting teams.
• Collaborate with internal design teams and stakeholders regarding internal installations.

Reporting and Administration:

• Assist in the identification and resolution of projects risks and issues.
• Maintain project documentation, including release plans, and project status reports.
• Ensure project documentation is accurate and compliant with company standards.
• Monitor and report on project progress, costs and quality to project managers on a daily basis.
• Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates and projects closure documents.

General:

• Ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions.
• Ability to have a clear vision about what needs to be achieved. Understanding and analysing current position and resources required to execute.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that initiative, timeliness, and completeness of gathering information to resolve stakeholder requirements through the work order process.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, resolves problems and queries independently. Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), project management software
