An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Diesel Mechanic at IQHAUE - George. This role involves assisting an Artisan Diesel Mechanic with the repair and maintenance of all buses and motor vehicles within the Depot. Responsibilities include identifying and rectifying mechanical problems on vehicles and equipment, and planning work procedures. Minimum Requirements

• 3 or more years recognized apprenticeship
• Valid driver's license, preferably EC
• Up to 3 years of experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Servicing of buses and company vehicles
• Assisting with breakdowns and carrying out the necessary repairs
• Applying Health & Safety rules and regulations in all aspects of the job
• Ensuring vehicles are kept in line with legal requirements and company policies (e.g., roadworthy)
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times
• Administering regular reporting to management regarding breakdowns, services, etc.
• Performing ancillary duties as determined by management on an ongoing basis
