IT Application Engineer (IT Support Services Engineer) at Derivco

Job Description

• Derivco Cape Town is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Engineer (IT Support Services Engineer) to be part of our dynamic team.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Release, maintain, and monitor production software products or infrastructure components that meet the design, business requirements and standards of Derivco.
• Monitoring of support queues and prioritisation of incidents according to predefined criteria.
• Investigation and resolution or escalation of incidents.
• Root cause analysis.
• Creation and configuration of alerts based on monitoring coverage requirements.
• Monitoring of system performance and identification of current and future potential issues.
• Planning of small to medium scale solutions based IT engineering projects.
• Completion of allocated work items on IT engineering projects.
• Creation and maintenance of documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Academic qualifications in Computer Science or IT (advantageous).
• Relevant vendor certification (advantageous).
• 3 Years + years hands on experience in IT Support and supporting technology systems.
