What You Have Done Before

•     8 years Category buying management experience within the FMCG environment.
•     NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Retail/ Supply Chain/ Sciences/ Technology)
•     5 years experience in Inventory & Replenishment Planning (within Buying, Supply Chain & Inventory Management)

Advantageous

•     Inventory Optimization/ Supermarket/ Food Retailing experience at Specialist level

What You Will Doing
PURCHASE ORDER MANAGEMENT & AMENDMENTS

•     Develop and amend/ confirm recommended purchase orders through effective communication with relevant stakeholders and taking into consideration the necessary logistics  
•     Ensure effective management of stock levels based on stock cover targets 
•     Confirm inter-regional inventory transfers as required and supplier delivery time slots where necessary (peak season)
•     Create action emergency purchase orders and/or purchase order amendments based on business rules and to ensure efficient business operations

INVENTORY DATA MANAGEMENT: 

•     Load replenishment data for new products to ensure efficient business operations
•     Update replenishment data as required (normal trading/ special events) e.g. units per tray, delivery patterns, lead times, stock cover

INVENTORY OPTIMISATION & ANALYSIS

•     Receive all queries related to product e.g. stockouts, overstocks
•     Perform initial analysis on queries, identifying obvious causes of problems (forecasts, shorts, BOH errors, inaccurate data, mis-picks, DC issues)

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & COLLABORATION

•     Develop sustainable relationship with relevant teams and ensure communicated issues of shorts/ replenishment are resolved
•     Collaborate with teams to determine risks and the root cause and recommend possible solutions
•     Collaborate with relevant teams & suppliers to ensure inventory issues and challenges (changes in delivery patterns) are always resolved with feedback & corrective actions where necessary to ensure availability of stock and to determine best solution(s) to any short-term problems
