    Human Resource Business Partner (Lime Acres)

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coach, develop and consult line managers to:

    • Enable better decision making on people matters by compiling and analysing, statistics and fact-based decision material.
    • Provide them with tools and techniques for executing major changes with people consequences.
    • Help them improve their people management competencies and enable them to take more accountability for developing their workforce.
    • Lead and champion development of the desired organisation culture.
    • Responsible for placing right people in the right jobs.
    • Responsible for managing Employment Equity (EE) Targets and Goals with line managers.
    • On boarding and Induction of New engagements, Job Profile discussion and sign off, New Starter 180 assessment and Individual Development plans.
    • Facilitating coaching for Performance discussions between Line and employees to Goals.
    • Facilitate communication - weekly Team meetings, weekly RARS.
    • Together with Line, drive and facilitate staff engagement: Conduct Exit Interviews, Climate Surveys, % Union Membership, Engagement score per area, facilitate Focus groups, and drive recognition initiatives to celebrate Top performers. 
    • Facilitate incapacity/ ill health processes between Line Manager, Employee and Employee Benefits.           
    • Facilitate Talent Management conversations within the Talent framework (Identify next level roles, 9 box matrix, HIPOs).   
    • Create harmonious relationship between Line Manager, Supervisors, Employees and Organised Labour.
    • Support Line to set weekly, monthly, and annual Targets, and communicate and review.                           
    • Assist Line Manager with regards to Employee Relations (ER) processes (Disciplinary and Grievance processes and Poor Work Performance).   
    • Serve as an escalation point for ER issues and provide support and make recommendations as needed.
    • Consult with Manager: Employee Relations with regards to drafting of charges and ER Processes.              
    • Capacity building for Line Manager and coach Line with regards to Interaction Management Principles. 
    • Facilitate workforce planning/ scheduling together with Line Manager.
    • Facilitate Coaching for improvement discussions with Line Manager on absenteeism, late coming and AWOLs.
    • Facilitate processes with Line Manager to manage discipline and finally disengage. 
    • Ensure that all HR reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.
    • Provide subject matter expertise and skills in area of responsibility; advising on solutions to enhance or ensure the effectiveness of the department/section. 
    • Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with operation.
    • Takes cognisance of and adhere to Company policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Manage and report on non compliance issues.
    • Model behaviour that is consistent with the Company Safety, Health and Environment Vision and Values. Manage and report on non compliance issues.
    • Supervises subordinates in the designated area.
    • Effective Team Player and Effective Self-Management.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Diploma in Human Resources Management (NQF6) or equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience applicable to HR business processes (HR Benefits, general HR Administration and Recruitment and Selection).            
    • Knowledge of SA Labour legislation and HR compliance.  
    • Understanding and insight into BCEA, LRA, OHS and EE Acts.        
    • Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Valid driver's license  

     ADVANTAGE:

    • Experience as a Senior HR Officer or equivalent.
    • Knowledge and experience of HR Information Systems.

    OTHER SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

    • Substantial business acumen and effective team player.
    • Have knowledge and skill in applying the generic management principles and practices.            
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
    • Supervisory skills.       
    • Have knowledge and skill in effectively liaising and communicating with all levels of management and employees.
    • Have knowledge and skill in concluding contract with successful candidate and notifying unsuccessful candidates of the result.
