    HR Business Advisor (Engagement)

    Job description
    Northam Eland Platinum Mine has an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Advisor who will be will provide HR support to line management by attracting, hiring and retaining the best employees. The successful incumbent will assist the department to enhance HR processes in accordance with company policies and procedures. Guided by our purpose and our values, we enable both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to promote “Smart Platinum Mining ", delivering on metals (PGMs) including platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium and osmium.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4
    • National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management

    Experience

    • Minimum three (3) years HR experience of which one (1) year should be in a mining environment:
    • Extensive OM and PA SAP experience preferably in a mining environment
    • Computer literacy related to HR Information Systems, Time Attendance Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of Firefly system will be advantageous

    Key performance areas
    As our HR Business Advisor some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

    • Manage workforce planning
    • Collaborate with department managers and identify future hiring needs
    • Administer the recruitment and selection process
    • Maintain applicant database with vetted candidates
    • Ensure data integrity on all employee actions e.g. Engagements, Terminations, Promotions, Transfers etc
    • Weekly and monthly reporting related to the role
    • Perform any other HR related activities associated with the role

    Additional requirements

    • Strong work ethic
    • Good administration skills
    • Communication skills in the English language
    • Medical Certificate of Fitness
