    Hotel Operations Manager - Emperors Palace

    Job Purpose

    • To manage and control all aspects of the Complex Hotel Operations to the required Standards within the agreed budgetary limits and parameters, and ensuring guest satisfaction and profit maximization. 

    Qualifications

    • Hotel School Management Diploma or equivalent;
    • Management Development qualification would be an added advantage;

    Minimum Requirements

    • 5 years as Hotel Manager or Resident Manager of 200+ Room Hotel;
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills will be a requirement.
    • Above average planning and organising skills will be essential.

    Main Resposibilites

    • To manage the Hotel Operations function for Emperors and to develop policies and procedures designed to satisfy customer needs and to maximise profitability and return on investment.
    • Design, develop, implement and evaluate strategies for Hotel Operations for approval.
    • Develop Hotel Operating Services policies and procedures in Emperors and ensure the implementation thereof.
    • Ensure that all Hotel Operating Services are costed and priced.
    • Implement cost controls and co-ordinate the budgeting process for all areas in the Operating Services function and motivate and control Capex budget for the division.
    • Co-ordinate sales and revenue figures for all areas under the Hotel Operations Services Division
    • Ensure that Guest Satisfaction is established and maintained by the staff of the Rooms Division.
    • Identify and implement staff training schemes and conduct regular performance appraisals and ensure operating standards of the hotel are achieved.
    • Responsible for all guest queries including collecting, reviewing, summarising, and proposing corrective action.
