Hangar Technician (Mechanical) - Kempton Park at FlySafair

Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair has a vacancy for a Hangar Technician (Mechanical) at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful applicant will report to the Manager: Maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Required to perform various flight line duties including, but not limited to:

• Heavy maintenance;
• Conduct routine inspections;
• Fault finding and rectification;
• Perform C-checks;
• Inspector for mechanical on areas of aircraft;
• Induct A-checks including weekly service checks.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12;
• Minimum of ten (10) years aviation experience;
• Previous experience working on B737 – 400 and -800 is a must;
• Sound understanding of B737-400 and B737-800 mechanical systems;
• Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
• Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
• Good knowledge and understanding of a computer;
• Valid South-African passport holder.
