Job Description

• To service and maintain all building related assets, furniture and fixtures which includes but is not limited to the following disciplines: Basic electrical, silicone, paint, tiling, basic plumbing, basic carpentry and steel work.
• To complete job cards on a daily basis as per the Supervisor/Artisan’s instructions.
• To report to the Supervisor on completion of job cards and project sheets.
• Record all times and material on completed job cards and project sheets.
• To ensure that requests for installations are safely, promptly and efficiently carried out.
• To report all defects to the Supervisor
• To report all unsafe situations, incidents or equipment to maintenance supervisors.
• To control loss, abuse and breakage of equipment.
• To perform daily inspections and repairs of all building and assets related work on complex.
• To maintain standards of workmanship and occupational safety.
• Operational requirements will necessitate that the Handyman be used in other departments and disciplines from time to time.

Qualifications

• N3 Technical Qualification or Grade 12
• Must have good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Experience in working with hand and power tools.
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail important
• Must have good hand skills.
• Shift work is an operational requirement.
• Must have experience in the handyman field.
• Must be able to work with electronic devices.
