Group Supply Chain Director at Servest SA

Minimum Requirements    

• Bachelor’s Degree – MBA, Industrial Engineering or other related degree
• Prior large scale project experience in Supply Chain covering warehousing, logistics, procurement and innovation best practices.
• 10-15 years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing
• Expert understanding of logistics and warehouse best practice knowledge (systems and processes)
• Statistical applications advantageous
• International exposure including Far East and European sourcing
• Expert level Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word Report Writing capability
• Ability to present/speak effectively in front of groups
• Represent Servest with the highest level of integrity

Duties & Responsibilities    
Procurement

• Lead and mentor a dynamic team of professionals
• Optimize relationships with suppliers to balance cost and quality
• Partner with business leaders across the company to identify new and increased spending needs as the company continues to grow and expand into new markets
• Renegotiate numerous agreements to more properly reflect the significant growth and spend the company has seen over the past two years
• Ensure that Servest always has a stable of qualified vendors that can meet and exceed our internal and external customer requirements at preferred pricing level
• Strategically develop and implement commodity/supply chain strategies covering all commodities, non-subcontract services and supplier processes throughout a global
• Improve utilization of automation and controls around key areas of spending
• Supports Accounting and Finance Departments to help streamline and implement best practices
• Ensure “buyers' are properly trained and follow purchasing requirements and policies.
• Report to management the measurable status of progress and corrective actions as it pertains to supplier performance.
• Ensure performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked and reported on as required for supply base management and improvement.

Warehousing and Logistics

• Detailed knowledge of supply and demand planning using forecasting systems and techniques (Time Series, Exponential Smoothing, Moving Average)
• Working knowledge of warehousing systems for inventory control
• Understanding of working capital flow and optimal stock turn ratios across different categories
• Landed cost knowledge and understanding of various Incoterms
• Detailed ERP systems understanding from a process perspective
• Prior systems implementation knowledge advantageous
• Network optimisation knowledge (Centre of gravity analysis)

Fleet

• Ability to manage the Group’s fleet at a national level through the Fleet management team
• Understanding of the specific fleet metrics to establish control

Innovation

• Apply best practice Innovation strategies for the business
• Knowledge of Lean/TPM or Six Sigma advantageous
• Ability to develop business cases
