Group Risk Reporting and Enablement Manager at FirstRand Group

purpose

We are looking for a seasoned risk professional to join our team. In this role you will be required to coordinate and be accountable for the end-to-end process of Basel Pillar 3 disclosure to the market, enable group risk management training, and be responsible for the Group Risk management framework and other group reporting. This role provides you with the unique opportunity to play a strategic role in the training enablement of risk topics. You will also have an overview of all the risk activities in the group and engage with risk owners including investor relations. We look forward to you application. 

experience and qualifications

• Minimum  Qualification - CA(SA) is preferable or similar tertiary degree in risk management or in a financial/ accounting/auditing field
• Experience - At least 5-7 years’ experience in the banking industry; or financial risk management in either credit risk/ market/operational/liquidity or other risk type
• Sound  business knowledge and excellent communication skills
• Good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge of financial environment and resultant impacts on the bank
• Good overall banking/financial sector knowledge
• Competencies must include strategic thinking, attention to detail, verbal and written communication, building strategic relationships, organisational awareness, planning and organising.
