Group Category Specialist – Engineering, Freight & Logistics - Modderfontein at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Collect data, identify and analyse trends using understanding of sourcing processes.
• Conduct market analysis and contribute to development of sourcing strategy development.
• Analyse spend data, e.g. TCO analysis, regression analysis to identify improvement / saving opportunities. Make suitable recommendations based on company spend analysis and market trends.
• Prepare RFI / RFP documents.
• Run tender processes and analyse the returned data.
• Support data collection on supplier performance (supplier scorecard) from around the organisation.
• Support preparation of supplier feedback presentations as part of SRM process.
• Support creation, cleansing and updating category trees on an ongoing basis.
• Calculation, tracking and reporting of achieved savings; benefits sign-off by business units.
• Manage and verify price escalations and contract variations.

Qualifications & Experience    

• Matric.
• University degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain Management, Finance or any equivalent.
• Procurement certification (e.g. CPM) would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ in Supply Chain environment and in data analytics.
• Experience with ERP/ and or spend management systems.
• Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other analytical tools.
• Financial analysis, modelling skills and knowledge of various index sources.
