About the role

• As a graphic designer you will be responsible for creating visual designs that communicate a message or idea to the intended audience. This can include everything from logos and branding to website layouts, print ads, and social media graphics. The role typically requires a degree in graphic design or a related field and experience with design software like Adobe Creative Suite. In terms of years of experience, the requirements can vary depending on the specific agency and position.

What you will bring

• Grade 12 (required).
• 1 – 3 years graphic design experience
• Tertiary graphic design qualification (preferred).
• Strong visual and graphic design skills
• Proficiency in graphic design software like CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Ability to conceptualise and develop visual ideas
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of colour theory and typography
• Time management and multitasking ability
• A portfolio that demonstrates design ability

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for the following:

• Meeting with clients or account managers to understand their needs and objectives for a project.
• Creating visual designs and concepts that communicate the desired message or idea to the target audience.
• Using Adobe Creative Suite to develop graphics, illustrations, layouts, and other design elements.
• Collaborating with other designers, writers, photographers, and web developers to ensure all aspects of a project are cohesive and effective.
• Present ideas and designs to clients or stakeholders and incorporate feedback and revisions.
• Working within timelines and budgets and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends, design techniques, and software updates to continually improve skills and stay competitive.
• Responsible for creating impactful and visually appealing designs that meet the client’s or company’s needs and goals.
• Play a crucial role in building brand identity, promoting products and services, and engaging with audiences through various mediums.
