Graduate Industrial Engineer (Junior Engineer) at Minopex

Minopex is searching for fresh talent to join our organization as part of our Graduate Programme for Engineering (Industrial), with the aim of the Programme is to develop a skilled continuous Improvement Engineer. We are looking for a recent graduate who is a high performer, disciplined, dedicated and self-motivated to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering business improvement processes , analysis and capabilities across site
• Support the implementation of Minopex Operating Model (MOM) by coaching supervisors on application of problem-solving tools and techniques
• Facilitate Implementation of Management Operating Systems(L1-L4 MOS System) through the sites
• Monitor and advise on key business process risks and issues impacting the business
• Conduct Value Steam Maps(VSM) and Value Driver Tree (VDT) to assist sites in maximizing productivity and minimizing waste
• Conduct work measurements to understand time values for the tasks and resources allocations for activities
• Assist in rolling out sites sound improvement systems which drive process automation and centralisation of data.
• The Graduate Programme is designed to equip graduates with industry experience and professional development through practical learning programmes
• The Programme offers graduates a unique learning opportunity with ongoing assessment and feedback
• This is a 2-year fixed term programme and permanent employment is not guaranteed upon completion of this programme
• Successful applicants must be willing to be rotated between Minopex operations

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering
• Experience and Skills Requirements
• Up to one year’s experience in mining will be advantageous
• Experience sourcing, interpreting, and presenting data and making informed decisions
• A naturally numerical, analytical, and an enquiring mind with the ability to engage, and challenge and others
• A willingness to learn - and share as much as possible throughout the programme
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential)
• Experience with Power BI would be beneficial
• Must be a South African Citizen
