    General Manager - Verticals and Markets Group Digital

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The partner’s relationship is a key priority: 

    • Identifying the right partners (international, pan African, local) to meet the need defined in the Global Portfolio, 

    Creating a professional relationship at executive level with them (international, pan African) and Negotiating the group deals to bring the digital services to the Opcos markets. MTN Digital Services B to C portfolio consists of: 

    • Content and entertainment services for mobile and fixed offers (video, games, music, press, books, ..) The new verticals (Heath, education, energy, security, …) 
    • Advertising business (B to B) The legacy services (VAS, CRBT) The Ayoba service is managed independently, with close link with the Group Digital Services team

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    The GM Digital verticals and markets will be accountable for:

    • Defining a market approach per digital verticals (video, music, games, education, health, security, etc.)
    • Conducting the Adverting operations at Group, and support local Opco advertising operations
    • Develop consumer insights and understanding of the needs per vertical and per country
    • Identify strategic partners to deliver the market approach defined for each digital services vertical.
    • Define the type of engagements and relationship with each partner (distribution, JV, M&A, incubate)
    • To lead and negotiate master agreements partnering with legal, procurement, OpCo and M&A teams
    • Support the Opcos in deploying the digital services portfolio locally and identifying local partners
    • Animate Opcos communities per verticals, to increase awareness and understanding of the markets that we want to approach
    • The ultimate objective is to deliver incremental revenue while having the customer experience at the center.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Job Requirements 

    Education:

    • Minimum 4 year academic degree with Honours
    • MBA/Master’s degree (advantageous)
    • English (mandatory) French and Arabic (as advantage)

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5 8 years’ experience
    • Minimum 3 years senior management experience
    • Minimum 5 years of sector, industry or area of specialisation
    • Experience in global /multinational business environment
    • Experience in leading change / transformation (marketing) at an operational level advantageous
    • Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices
    • Experience in customer value creation
    • Experience in campaign management
