    Galley Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the galley, including meal planning, food preparation, and service
    • Manage a team of galley staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
    • Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high quality standards
    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed
    • Maintain a clean and organized galley, following all health and safety regulations
    • Create and manage budgets for the galley department
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as the onboard chef and purchasing team, to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations
    • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for the galley department
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for menu and service improvements
    • Handle any guest concerns or complaints related to the galley, and work to resolve them in a timely and professional manner

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime industry
    • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in food preparation and service
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
    • Valid food handling and safety certifications
