Front End Software Engineer at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

To design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor programs/scripts. Applies agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. To monitor and report on own progress and proactively identify issues related to software development activities. To propose practical solutions to resolve issues. To collaborate in reviews of work with others as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems) and/or any other IT related qualification

Experience

• 3+ years hands-on experience building Angular web applications and AWS knowledge.
• A strong understanding of HTML, CSS with SCSS, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with responsive user interfaces for a wide range of devices and browsers, component libraries, preferably Ionic
• Experience with testing tools such as Jest and Cypress, Git or other version control systems and creation and maintenance of CI / CD pipelines.
• Accessibility considerations in the interfaces you create, a strong understanding of web performance and optimisation as well as ability to interact with UX, designers and server-side developers.
