Forensics Officer at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A 3 year tertiary qualification in either Finance, Accounting, Audit, Legal, Forensic Investigations or Information Technology
• 2 – 5 years relevant experience with supervisory experience advantageous
• Membership of ICFP and / or ACFE recommended
• Computer Proficiency, including MS Suite

Key Performance Areas

• To execute and perform forensic investigations that are multidisciplinary (accounting / legal / investigative / information technology) which may include data mining/analyses of databases and systems within the jurisdiction of the City of Cape Town
• To execute and perform proactive anticorruption awareness, prevention and detection programmes and strategies which may include fraud risk reviews, data mining/analyses of databases and systems within the jurisdiction of the City of Cape Town
• To prepare and compile information/reports relating to forensic investigations/projects/governance reporting and/or other investigative matters
• To ensure that departmental resources are efficiently, effectively and economically deployed to ensure optimal service delivery
