Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive profitability in the business through strategic pricing and efficient structuring
• Take a lead in the management team in trouble shooting problems and implementing solutions
• Report on financial results and variances to budget and defining and implementing corrective actions
• Involvement in commercial activities such as customer relationships and pricing
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Manage and motivate the finance teams
• Maintain an effective internal control environment
• Manage credit risk and working capital
• Drive and instil a high-performance driven culture with sound discipline

Educational Requirements

• A completed CA/CIMA qualification
• Registered member with the professional bodies SAICA/CIMA, is essential

Experience Requirements

• At least 6 years Senior Financial Manager experience including formulating strategies and managing multiple teams

• Sound track record of excellent judgement and decision making abilities
• Excellent attention to detail abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to manage complex teams across multiple business units

• An understanding of sound financial protocols are essentials
• Must be up to date with all relevant legislation and industry related challenges
