    Executive Core Business

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 

    • Strategic direction and oversight for Core Business 
    • Development and monitoring of business plans within the Core Business Functional units 
    • Manage the operations of the Core Business Value Chain (Living Heritage and Tourism Development, Resistance and Liberation Heritage Route, Funding and Research and Knowledge Production) 
    • Stakeholder and partnership management 
    • Governance and risk management 
    • Resource planning, monitoring and management 
    • Leading Improvement and Unit optimisation 
    • Contribute to the Management of the NHC as Acting CEO when delegated 2 September 2024 _NHC Job Avert

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE 
    Minimum education required 

    • Post Graduate Degree at Masters level in the heritage / conservation / strategic management and / or relevant related qualification, NQF Level 9 
    • Honours degree in the areas of South African history, political science studies, anthropology, transformation, Management, heritage studies and / or relevant related qualification, NQF Level 8 (Desirable) 

    Required experience 

    • 4-6 Years proven experience of management at strategic level 
    • 5 Years’ experience in Heritage Resource Management / Environmental or Biodiversity Management or cultural heritage conservation; Public policy development or Policy Analysis; Strategic Planning or Implementation; Oversight Reporting; Strategic Presentations; or experience in the corporate governance of public entities. 
    • 4-6 Years’ experience in the area of heading a public organisation or units of a public organization (Desirable).
