    Education Learning and Development Coordinator

    Description

    The Education Learning and Development Coordinator will play an integral role in facilitating the implementation of recruitment and training strategies by supporting the Education Learning and Development Lead with administrative tasks, coordination and strategy implementation. This role involves recruiting and training exceptionally talented team members; ensuring existing team members are provided with continued learning and development; and inculcating a culture of learning and teaching excellence focused on providing an exceptional student experience.

     

    Key areas of responsibility include, but not are limited to, the following areas:

    Training

    • Support the Education Learning and Development Lead with the implementation of the learning and development strategic plan through effective administration and coordination of initiatives and activities included in the plan.
    • Map out and coordinate annual training plans for the Student Experience Division.
    • Use evidence-based learning principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques.
    • Support the Student Experience Division in record keeping of staff development plans.
    • Conduct Student Experience Division training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed via continued professional development.
    • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
    • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each training session to evaluate effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
    • Research and recommend new training methodologies, like gamification, for effective development and overall growth.

    Recruitment

    • Collaborate with the Talent Department to screen candidates by reviewing CVs, job applications, application videos as well as attending initial screening interviews.
    • Screen candidates and assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and present shortlisted candidates to Education Learning and Development Lead or assigned hiring manager.
    • Review pre-employment competency tests and videos, and conduct applicant preliminary interviews as required.
    • Support the Education Learning and Development Lead as required within the recruitment function
    • Provide recruitment reports to the Education Learning and Development Lead

    Coordination

    • Work closely with the Education Learning and Development Lead to ensure delivery of a holistic, high-quality engagement experience
    • Action communication with the team
    • Coordinate and follow up with key stakeholders in order to meet training development deadlines
    • Brief in creative design requests e.g. training flyers, visuals required for training materials
    • Work with Teachers and Mentors to identify frequently asked questions posed by new team members when joining Valenture Institute and proactively suggest various support mechanisms (e.g. onboarding updates, knowledge articles, opportunities for training).
    • Manage the briefing process with the tech team to: upload support articles, content, and maintain the resources available on the LMS etc.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or a minimum of 2–3 years related experience.
    • Experience with e-learning platforms.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
    • Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to multitask, strong organisational skills and flexibility to adapt and change priorities with limited notice.
    • A creative and entrepreneurial approach, and willingness to innovate and take measured risks.
