Job Description    

• RCL FOODS seeks a Draughtsman to join our Sugar team based in Komati. The primary objective for this position is to manage and ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Drawing office. Maintain and uphold RCL Foods Quality Standards (High standard of workmanship

Minimum Requirements    

• S3/T3/N6 in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a general engineering Draughtsman in a medium to heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of C.A.D is a prerequisite, preferably AutoCAD and or Inventor.
• Sugar industry-related drawing experience will be an added advantage.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• To be considered for appointment, the candidate must be a South African citizen.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Manage and ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Drawing office.
• Plant layout drawings and pipeline design.
• Maintain the documentation of the Drawing office ensuring that any reference book borrowed from the office is returned.
• Updating and revising drawings to reflect plant modifications.
• Measuring onsite equipment for modification.
• Producing accurate drawings for machining/manufacturing of components.
• Dimensional and quality checks of drawings and manufactured components.
• Report and investigate accidents / incidents and implement preventative measures.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure that they run smoothly.
• Comply with all safety rules as per RCL Foods and OSH Act requirements.
• Maintain and uphold RCL Foods Quality Standards (High standard of workmanship).
