    District Manager

    Job Description    

    • To lead all functional areas within the business unit to meet business growth objectives, whilst delivering world class customer service.

    The role interacts with-

    • Customers to drive customer service excellence and business growth.
    • Regional Commercial and relevant Operational teams to drive the district business plan.
    • National Accounts team to ensure alignment on territory specific initiatives.
    • With key regional support functions (e.g. Finance, HR, Credit, etc.) and Centre of Excellence (CoE) teams for relevant support to drive the district business plan.
    • Key external stakeholders (e.g. community leadership, business leadership, government entities, etc.) to manage the corporate image of the organisation and protect our license to trade.
    • Third Party Distributors, as required, to monitor the efficient management of operations.
    • Suppliers to manage compliance requirements in relation to Third party services.
    • The Coca-Cola Company representative to manage the franchisor relationship.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Translate overall business- and regional plan for the respective district to drive customer excellence and revenue growth.
    • Implement, drive and achieve the business strategy and plan for the district, by aligning teams to objectives and plan through short term interval controls.
    • Monitor and evaluate the district performance against the business plan and adjust as required to drive continuous improvement.
    • Implement and optimise Route-To-Market (RTM) plan and framework to drive customer centricity and organisational value.
    • Drive sound financial practices and controls to ensure the effective management of business unit income statement.
    • Deliver quality customer service by driving a customer centric and high-performance culture through sales force capability.
    • Manage internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive streamlined operations and productivity to meet customer demand.
    • Manage external stakeholder relationships to build the corporate image in the communities we operate in.
    • Drive effective talent management practices to ensure sustainable talent pipeline, and an engaged team to deliver on full potential.
    • Ensure adherence to relevant governance protocols (e.g. Risk and Control Matrix) to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk to the business and protect business’ licence to trade.
    • Execute the Occasion, Brand, Package, Price, Channel (OBBPC) strategy to maximize and grow market share.
    • Lead and manage Business Unit to allow for the achievement of set goals, an engaged team and high-quality work output.

    Skills, Experience & Education    

    • A relevant formal
    • A minimum of 5 years Sales experience in an FMCG environment and minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
    • Valid code B drivers’ licence.
    • Advanced computer literacy.
