    Digital Technologies Manager

    Job Overview

    • Strategic Business Leader driving change and transformation within Royal Canin in South Africa for Emerging & Seeds Region.
    • Partners with Global, Regional and Functional Royal Canin leaders to define the South Africa Digital Strategy and portfolio of high business value change initiatives.
    • Helps to drive speed and focus through building mutual partnerships across Digital Technology towers and influencing key stakeholders across Royal Canin and Petcare.
    • Is accountable for all Digital Technologies deliveries within Royal Canin in South Africa for Emerging & Seeds Region.

    • The role looks after Royal Canin in South Africa for Emerging & Seeds region, the market is key for the region because the organization has just changed.
    • The roles defines & delivers a digital transformation that create business values as part of South Africa Transformation.
    • The main counterparts in South Africa are Market GM & his leadership team.
    • The main counterparts in Digital Technologies are leaders of the various functional/technology towers.

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    Strategic Leadership

    • Segment Alignment: Defines & owns the Digital Technologies strategy within the context of Royal Canin in South Africa for Emerging & Seeds Region strategy.
    • Disrupt with Digital: Brings to life within the region business value delivery through digital capabilities.
    • Digital Mindset: Drives the usage of the Mars Digital Flywheel and underlying methodologies including usage of test & learn approach, user centricity, data & analytics, and automation.
    • External Perspective: Brings the "outside-In" by maintaining an external network of digital professionals to deliver value faster. Contributes to build Mars Digital branding externally.

    Delivering Change

    • Strategy Delivery: Accountable and acts as escalation point for South Africa and Emerging & Seeds region Digital Technologies strategy delivery (on time, in scope, on budget).
    • Business Transformation: Organize and Deliver multi-years, large scale programs to deliver efficiency, growth and people engagement.
    • Capability Adoption: Drives the continuous adoption of Digital & Technologies capabilities within South Africa.

    Operational Excellence

    • Rationalization: Continuously challenge the status quo to drive opportunities to standardize and rationalize IT Landscape.
    • Budget: co-accountable with Mars Digital Technologies S&F for Total DT Costs for geography and ensure to achieve Business Targets.

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent (DT Degree preferred)
    • 4 to 5 years working in a Digital Tech related role
    • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, DT personnel and project leaders
    • Story Telling skills
    • Understanding of business drivers / processes and ability to relate segment priorities to associated technology
    • Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff
    • Learning agility and desire to learn new technology and business
    • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills
    • Experience working across multiple levels of an organization
    • Strong problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.
    • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in some of the following three areas: Project delivery, Program Management, Senior Management exposure
    • Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority
