    Desktop and Mobility Engineer

    Job Description

    Do you have experience in desktop support role? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment?

    We're looking for a Desktop & Mobility Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. As an experienced member of the team, you will act as an escalation point and provide third line support to both colleagues in our Cape Town office and our UK teams remotely via a ticketing system. In this role you will manage integration, deployment, and migration projects, using platforms including Microsoft Intune to carry out application packaging and configuration.     Every day you will…

    • Use a centralised software deployment method to ensure all users can receive and use the software they need, ensuring that we're using the latest version of software and that it's tested prior to deployment, supporting the project to migrate to a new software deployment toolset
    • Use Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, ensuring all devices connecting to our network are appropriately managemed and kept compliant to security standards, assiting on projects to deploy a new MDM solution 
    • Manage and deploy a standardised build to desktops and laptops as well as maintaining builds used on Remote Desktop Services/Virtual Desktops
    • Manage and report on the use of all installed Commercial Off The Shelf Software (COTS) on end user devices to ensure we remain compliant to licensing requirements and security

    To thrive in this role, you must have...

    • Expertise in Microsoft Intune, carrying out application packaging and configuration
    • Experience providing desktop support within a large organisation
    • Experience building and deploying image using MDT/WDS
    • Demonstrated experience providing third line support and using a ticketing system
