    Demand Planning Manager - JHB

    The Position

    • As a Demand Planning Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the rolling forecast in the planning system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and that adequate stock is planned in line with demand.
    • You will play a key role in facilitating the Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) & planning (S&OP) Processes, leading the short- and long-term forecasting process across the entire portfolio.

    Your main accountabilities will be:

    • Short- and long-term Demand Planning and forecast
    • Inventory planning and projections, ensuring a balance between incoming orders and projected sales
    • Working closely and collaboratively with key customers to ensure a balanced distribution of stock nationally and adequate inventory to meet the demand, and facilitating the S&OP and S&OE process with key functions
    • Processing purchase orders with suppliers in line with the demand
    • Identifying, proposing, and implementing improvements for distributor/wholesaler management to ensure adequate and timely sharing of data

    Qualifications

    • As a Demand Planning Manager, you need to have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain or Logistics with 5-8 years of experience in Demand Planning or Logistics in the pharmaceutical industry, including working cross-functionally with commercial teams.

    To be successful in this role:

    • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Excel
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively and in cross functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Very good English knowledge, both written and spoken
