    Debtoors and Recovery Manager

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

    • The Debtors and Recovery Manager is responsible for managing and recovering outstanding debts owed to the Fidelity Fund. This role involves collaborating with the Finance Manager to ensure that the Fidelity Fund’s financial records are well-organized and comply with PPRA’s financial policies.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
    • Honours degree in Finance/Accounting (advantageous).
    • Minimum of 4 years’ working experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing debtors’ books and reporting.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in debt collection.
    • Advanced Excel proficiency.
    • Ability to report and manage age analysis.
    • Experience in customer service and finance department operations.
    • Knowledge of legislation applicable to PPRA (PFMA, GAAP, KING IV, TAX, GAAP & GRAP, IFRS).
    • Strong understanding of government policies and legal compliance in the public sector.
    • Demonstrated successful project management abilities.
    • Understanding of PPRA policies and procedures.
    • Strong research, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
    • Stakeholder and results-oriented approach.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and maintain a debtors and recovery enhancement plan.
    • Ensure all debtor collection activities comply with relevant legislation, national policies, regulations, frameworks, and guidelines.
    • Ensure timely collection of all debts and accurate calculation of all recovered amounts.
    • Maintain precise records of all debts recovered.
    • Prepare monthly feedback reports on debtor repayments.
    • Ensure timely payments to suppliers as per requirements.

    Effectively manage debts recovered from all sources, including:

    • Outstanding fees payable by Property Practitioners annually.
    • Other monies accruing to the Fund from various sources.
    • Monitor debt collection processes to ensure accuracy.
    • Ensure the accuracy, validity, and completeness of PPRA’s debtor age analysis.
    • Ensure that client account revenue and invoices are processed accurately.
