Role Purpose

• To implement the Analytics standards across big complex business areas, that contribute to the monetisation of data through the development and delivery of advanced mathematical models and business principles that find hidden patterns and associations in data used to influence business strategy, inform channel design and make predictions on the behavior of our clients

Responsibilities

• Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances
• Encourage, establish and maintain strategic relationships across multiple functional areas to enable collaboration and knowledge sharing across function
• Demonstrate leadership by providing strategic direction, fostering high ethical standards in meeting FNB's vision and goals, and design and implement strategies that maximize employee potential
• Plan and manage performance, talent, succession and culture across function in order to improve performance
• Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development
• Provide input into, and implement, corporate governance, compliance, integrity and ethics policies in are of accountability to identify and manage risk exposure
• Establish and Embed a Data-Driven culture throughout Business to drive functional maturity
• Enhance and influence strategic business decisions across big complex areas through the provision of analytical insight in delivery of business strategy
• Lead Analytics function in delivering advanced mathematical models and analytical solutions to ensure required standards and practices and business value creation
• Lead business modelling and analytics value chain across big complex areas in delivery of business strategy
• Drive the implementation and adoption of Analytics strategy across allocated Business areas in achievement of information management strategy
• Establish mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders that support thought leadership, innovative and integrated practice solutions
• Anticipate and meet the needs of clients and commit to continuous development and entrenchment of a customer service culture
• Manage expenditure planning and reporting within approved budget parameters

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Qualification - Relevant undergraduate degree ( Actuary preferred if still studying, must have CA1/A300 exams passed and plan to do F106 (Enterprise risk management) and F206 banking fellowship )
• Preferred Qualification - Actuarial degree or CFA or FRM Qualification
• Experience - 5-8 years relevant experience in IFRS9, Capital and origination experience of which 2-4 years must have been in a management role.
