Data Lead (Analysis) at Crypto Banter

The Role:

We're on the lookout for a seasoned and assertive Data Lead who can take full, end-to-end ownership of our data analytics, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of our data. This role requires a leader who is confident and proactive in driving initiatives forward, particularly in collaborative settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of data analysis, data quality, and data engineering skills. Additionally, they will take the initiative to develop dashboards for actionable insights and ensure their adoption by the team. Their strategic mindset will be crucial in developing and presenting a comprehensive data plan that aligns the data team’s efforts with the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining comprehensive data analysis, dashboards, and reports.
• Providing actionable insights, suggestions, and hypotheses through presentations to the team.
• Implement a systematic approach to ensure data cleanliness, reviewing and cleaning data to achieve high accuracy and reliability. 
• Managing and analyzing data while collaborating with the development team to implement necessary changes for data quality assurance.
• Taking the initiative to develop dashboards for actionable insights and ensuring their adoption by the team.
• Presenting a strategic data plan that aligns the data team’s efforts with the company’s goals.
• Conducting statistical analysis and applying A/B testing methodologies to derive meaningful insights and guide decision-making.
• Utilizing programming skills in JavaScript and Python to enhance data analysis and automation processes.
• Leveraging Google BigQuery for efficient data querying and management.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key insights and trends from complex data sets
• Proven experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of data analysis and data QA processes.
• Proficiency in SQL databases
• Demonstrated ability in managing data analytics platforms, in particular GA4, including tracking implementation and event management.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies
• Experience in BI tools such as PowerBI, Looker or Tableau
• Solid problem-solving skills, with a track record of improving data quality and system integrity.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in cryptocurrency or trading.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages and data visualization tools.
• Proficiency in Python
