Job Description

• RPO's client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their innovative team at a consultant or manager level. Responsibilities:

• Solve complex industry-specific problems.
• Perform data analysis and data mining on large datasets.
• Design and build technical frameworks to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using applications such as SQL or 'big data' technologies.
• Facilitate solutions and applications throughout different project lifecycles, from design to development, testing, production release, and post-live support.
• Advise clients on data architecture and database design.
• Provide support to data and business analysts to ensure optimized technical processes through architecture design, application utilization, or code logic.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Continuously develop business knowledge and technical skills in areas where consulting services are provided.

Requirements:

• Relevant Information Science or Data degree, with a strong preference for a postgraduate qualification.
• Two years or more of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in SQL (creation of procs, creation of databases, etc.).
• Experience with Power Platform applications such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Experience processing large amounts of structured or unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources through setting up different APIs or other data integration patterns.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, C++, Linux, Ruby, PHP, Python, and R.
• Experience with cloud solutions such as Azure or AWS, including architecture, solution design, development, and implementation.
• Consulting experience with banks and insurers is advantageous.
• Strong desire to learn and upskill business knowledge.
