Your day at NTT DATA

• The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational. Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, the Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is able to restore service to clients. Their primary objective is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA). This role focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity. This role focusses across two or more technology domains - Cloud, VMWare, Virt, Applications and / or Collaboration etc.
• This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Requirements

• Advanced experience in deploying and managing services on VMware (vSphere), SimpliVity, and other virtual platforms.
• Familiarity with managing workloads across multiple hybrid cloud environments
• Dell Storage, Host and Server Experience, experience with Dell recover Point
• HP Storage, Host and Server Experience
• Administration and Deployment of VMware vRealize Automation Platform
• Support and Management of VMware’s Tanzu full-stack modernization suite (advantageous)
• Strong experience configuring, troubleshooting, and tuning system hardware and software configurations for performance and reliability.
• Diagnose complex systems issues with multiple influencing factors.
• Incident response to system alerts, serve as point of escalation for after-hours issues.
• Assist the support team with escalated customer issues.
• Disaster/Recovery/Restore
• Experience with HP 3Par, EMC, Netapp Storage Platforms (advantageous)
• Monitoring tool and deployment automation development
• Setting up automated Health Checks in the Virtual environment
• Experience managing backup platforms in complex environments.
• Experience with Veeam, NetBackup, CommVault, BackupExec, RedStore, Networker and Rubrik backup technologies.
• Server Administration – Windows Server OS
• Server Administration – Linux OS

Qualifications

• University Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience preferably in Computer Science or System Administration.
• 5 -10 years of experience manging platforms including a combination of the following: Windows Server Administration, Linux Server Administration, Storage Administration and VMWare
• Veeam Certified Engineer
• VMware certified Engineer: Data Center Virtualization (VCP)
• Experience with Scripting/development in tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python (Highly advantageous)
