Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Credit Relationship Analyst to join our Credit Department at TWK. Reporting to Credit Relationship Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of credit applications, managing credit risks, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The Credit Relationship Analyst will work collaboratively with Credit Relationship Managers to ensure effective credit management in accordance with established policies and regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare credit applications and obtain all relevant supporting documentation from clients
• Collaborate with Credit Relationship Managers to make informed credit decisions based on risk evaluations
• Work closely with Credit Relationship Managers to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with credit transactions
• Implement strategies to mitigate credit risks and protect the financial interests of the company
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients under the guidance of Credit Relationship Managers
• Assist in communicating credit decisions and terms clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with Credit Relationship Managers to monitor the credit portfolio and ensure compliance with established policies
• Provide input on adjustments to credit limits and terms based on changing risk profiles
• Work in conjunction with Credit Relationship Managers to prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files and documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Assist Credit Relationship Managers in generating regular reports on the credit portfolio, delinquency rates, and other relevant metrics
• Provide collaborative insights and recommendations based on data analysis
• Collaborate effectively with Credit Relationship Managers, as well as other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to credit management
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices
• Contribute ideas and collaborate on process improvements to enhance the efficiency of credit-related activities

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant minimum NQF level 5 qualification. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (advantageous)
• Previous experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related role is preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Proven problem-solving skills related to credit and risk management
